About Me

I'm a wife, I work, and I bake! I started this blog out of my love and excitement for baking. I hope to share my adventure with you and hopefully encourage you to get in the kitchen and create something delicious!

It is my vision that this blog becomes a catalyst for carrying on baking traditions and heritage. I feel that there is so much my generation can learn from the wise women who have gone before us and that we have yet to truly tap into what they can teach us. I would love for there to be a surge of homebaking, of finding the joy that comes from creating something with our hands that we can share with family and friends, and that we enjoy working in our kitchens.

I started baking at an early age with my mom. My favorite traditions were always at Christmas. We would have a day (or two!) set aside to bake all the wonderful cookies you find at Christmastime. She has taught me so much that I don't even think I can put it to words; it has just become a part of who I am. My love for homebaking was fueled even further when I got married. There was just something about being in the kitchen and loving what I was doing and who I was doing it for. Plus, it was a total bonus that my husband is one of my best critics. He is kind, encouraging, and honest, and, for the most part, loves everything I make. I am so blessed!

I hope everyone enjoys this blog as much as I do and that you come away with at least one thing, no matter how small, that encourages you to try something new and find something to love about baking.

Happy Baking!
